How one parent used skills learned in Parents Who Lead to restart school PTA

It’s Jurassic Park Day in Schnell Bernavil’s 2nd grade class at KIPP Voice Academy, and unlike the real Jurassic Park where things always go wrong - very, very wrong – everything is going right for the young explorers.

Duval County has many students who have never visited the many local parks and beaches that Jacksonville has to offer.

Within the halls of Duval County schools, you can hear a multitude of languages being spoken by the diverse student body.

During her tenure as a speech-language pathologist for Duval County Public Schools, Denisha Campbell, M.S., CCC-SLP was selected for the Cindy Edelman Excellence in Teaching Fellowship.

As a semi-finalist for Duval County Teacher of the Year in 2022, teacher Derya Tozoglu received a Powering Potential classroom grant, courtesy of Florida Blue and Rotary International.
